A very popular mid-tempo jazz standard.
You'll learn how to use sixths to harmonize a melody, along with plenty of nice jazz chords and in particular the minor jazz cadence.
The chords and the melody are being played simultaneously by harmonizing the melody with chords. Usually not every note of the melody is being harmonized, though. There are also single note melody lines between the chords.
* You need the Guitar Pro software to open the GP files. Guitar Pro is a software by Arobas Music that plays back written music notation / TABS. I don't sell this software, I just write TABS for it. Those files are a free bonus! If you don't own the Guitar Pro software, just use the PDF Tab instead. It's the SAME notation / TAB.

II V I - Good Voice Leading:
The II V I is the most used chord progression in jazz (aka jazz cadence). For a musical flow it’s important to have smooth transitions between the chords, witholut bigger jumps. In this lesson you learn how to have good voice leading comping the melody (head) of a song and during the solo (which requires different comping techniques).
